DAN MENTA A passion of mine is to hand-build beautiful tranquil waterfalls and Koi ponds with lush landscapes and real Tennessee River gravel and boulders. I then take pictures of them and paint the images on canvas and create “art imitating art”. It is doubly rewarding to first hand-create art with stone, water, fish and plants, a living, breathing oasis and then to paint it on canvas. I hope to be creating art in both forms for years to come. I believe to paint and create is to live and I love the journey. Dan Menta was born in New York. He is mostly self-taught drawing from the age of five years old. He graduated from one medium to another until finding a love for mixing brush and airbrush on canvas. He can create a realistic image of just about anything—person, place or thing. He graduated from NYC Technical College with an Associates degree in Commercial Art. |
